The Poetry of Vehicles (Free .pdf, $0.99 Kindle Edition or both)
The Poetry of Vehicles features eleven poems that I wrote to photographs that I took at the nationally-known Hot August Nights in Reno, NV and at the National Auto Museum.
The Poetry of Vehicles is uplifting for adults and children.
Would you like to see photographs of really neat cars, and poems that I wrote about for free? Pictures like the one in the cover (but larger)
and poems like this:
Forget the Poodle Skirt
Give me a hot rod.
An orange hot rod
With green doo-dads.
A convertible
With chrome wheels that make the guys notice
Black leather seats that set off my golden hair
Headlights that piece the night
Shocks and tires that hold the road
Taking us as fast (or as slow)
As I want to go.
That’s what makes me smile.
You can do that, and the best news is that it’s free.
Children enjoy reading the poems with their parents during the day, and at bedtime.
If you like the book, you are asked to make a contribution directly to a charity that is making a major difference in the fight against COVID-19. I suggest four charities in the book, and provide links to them.
